It’s 2017 and Dell has just unleashed one of their best laptop of the year. So what is the hype about the Dell XPS 15? First off, this laptop has been comparable to the Macbook Touch Bar, although it’s not to say the Dell XPS is better than the new MacBook Pro, it certainly does have some advantages over the MacBook Pro. One of the most attractive features about the Dell XPS 15 is that it has an excellent battery life and a stunning high-resolution graphics. To find out more, we’ve gathered the following reviews about the new Dell XPS 15. Let’s take a look at the reviews below.
You want toned, tight, and thin bezels? Dell’s got the bezels. The ones at the top and sides of the screen of the XPS 15 measure just 5.7mm (0.22 inch), helping Dell deliver what it calls the world’s smallest 15.6-inch laptop, with a footprint (9.3 by 14.1 by 0.66 inches) closer to that of many 14-inch models. The family resemblance to the famously petite XPS 13 is obvious, right down to the Webcam being mounted below instead of above the display. (Nice nostrils you have there. Is that a double chin?)
At 4.5 pounds, the touch-screen XPS 15 is fairly light for its class (and non-touch models are half a pound lighter). It’s noticeable in a briefcase, but well-balanced and easy to carry outside of one.
Lift the lid, and you’ll see plenty of carbon fiber below and on either side of the keyboard—the XPS is one of the few 15.6-inch laptops without a numeric keypad, so there’s ample unused space—along with a generous touch pad south of the space bar and a power button in the top right corner. Dell may very well be planning to take on MacBook Pro with their next offering. The high-end 2017 Dell XPS 15 has everything in it to take on MacBook Pro head on. It isn’t necessarily the world’s thinnest, lightest or the most powerful laptop but it has what it takes to make it the MacBook Pro killer.
From design to performance, Dell XPS 15 (2017) has got it all. Featuring a body built with a premium-looking aluminium chassis and carbon-fibre that surrounds the keyboard, the laptop features USB 3.0, USB-C with thunderbolt, HDMI 2 port and charging port. At 2kg, the laptop is probably a bit too heavy but considering the powerful features it comes with, this one’s definitely worth the buy. Packed with a powerful quad-core processor, 15-inch screen and an SD card reader, the Dell XPS 15 (2017) is being touted as the MacBook Pro killer.
What sets apart Dell XPS 15 (2017) and makes it eligible to take the MacBook Pro head on is its stunning Infinity Edge screen – the 15-inch screen looks very vivid and will give Dell an edge over MacBook Pro. It comes in two screen variants – 1080p and 4K. The vivid screen covers 99.9 percent of the sRGB colour standard, 96.9 percent of Adobe RGB and 91.4 percent of DCI P3, making games and videos look stunning. What’s more, the 4K variant has touchscreen capability. (read more at mobipicker.com)
